Concept Behind South Shore Chelan Logo by Hovie

The new South Shore logo created by Design Hovie Studios was inspired by the physical location of the South Shore and Lake Chelan. The long, 50 mile lake, is represented by the long black bar and the SS and logotype are placed at the far right end of the bar, just as the actual shore is.

The SS logo with backward S and Shore are a result of the South Shore being a little different than the rest of more heavily touristy, mainstream areas around the the rest of the lake.

Finally the brand was purposely left void of color so as to stand out from the sea of very colorful and bright brands already existing in Chelan and to convey the brand's workmanlike, no nonsense attitude.
