Menus for Ray's Boathouse Cafe


Design Hovie Studios, Inc., has designed menus for Ray's Cafe. Ray's, opened in 1945 as a dockside cafe, has evolved over the years into one of Seattle's must-visit restaurants with a majestic view and an international reputation for great seafood and wine.

Design Hovie Studios created three colors of abstract, aquadic themed backgrounds to use for the restaurant menu, the dessert menu, and the bar menu. The vibrant imagery was then placed on an espresso brown cover that works as a perfect frame. The Ray's Cafe logo, also designed by Design Hovie Studios, completes the new look and feel.

The entire project was a four week process developed in Seattle under the Creative Direction of Hovie Hawk.

Watson's Resort Apparel


Design Hovie Studios, Inc., has designed the brand identity and apparel for Watson's Harverene Resort. Watson's Harverene Resort is a historic 100+ year old resort located on the shores of Lake Chelan in central Washington state.

Design Hovie Studios created the new brand using a rustic, historic feel consistent with the resort and its surroundings. The main house / lodge was given center stage and embellished with crafted typography. The apparel showcases the new brand as well as the secondary WH logomark created to reflect the resort's western feel and fine collection of prize winning Belgian horses.

The entire project was a 2 month process designed in Seattle under the Creative Direction of Hovie Hawk.

Coastal Transportation Brochure Pack


Design Hovie Studios, Inc., has designed the new folders and inserts for Coastal Transportation. Coastal Transportation is a family owned and locally operated shipping company, that has been serving the communities of Western Alaska and the Aleutian Islands through fast, efficient and reliable cargo transportation for over 25 years..

Design Hovie Studios designed the folder and inserts so that photography emphasizes Coastal's dramatic enviroments and locations served. Modular, the system includes 6 inserts sheets and templates that easily allow for additional sheets when needed. The overall look compliments the existing brand developed by Design Hovie Studios as seen in the brand identity, papers, and web site..

POPCOM Identity and Business Papers


Design Hovie Studios, Inc., has designed the new brand identity and business papers for POPCOM Italia. Naples Italy based POPCOM is a full service events and promotions company.

For the new brand, Design Hovie Studios created a clean, bold look consistent with the sensibilities of the European market. Exclamation points were introduced within the logotype to create just the right amount of energy.

The entire project was a 3 month process designed by Creative Director Hovie Hawk and designer Angeline Oey.

Demitri's Bloody Mary Seasoning Promo CD


Design Hovie Studios, Inc. has designed the new promotional CD packaging and company brochure for Demitri's Bloody Mary Seasoning. Demitri's Bloody Mary Seasoning is a multi-award winning product that has been a favorite since its inception in 1989.

The CD face and packaging reflect the bold brand identity created by Design Hovie Studios for Demitri's. The brochure, pared down from a multi-page 8.5"x11" document, is a tidy 4.75"x4.75" piece that is just as informative yet fits perfectly in the CD pack.

The entire project was completed in two months by Creative Director Hovie Hawk and designer Paula Vuncannon.

New Label for Watson's Harverene Homestead Red Wine


Design Hovie Studios, Inc., has designed the new wine label for Watson's Harverene Resort Homestead Red. Watson's Harverene Resort is a historic 100+ year old resort located on the shores of Lake Chelan in central Washington state.

New Brand for Klhip the Ultimate Clipper


Design Hovie Studios, Inc., has designed the new brand identity and business papers for Klhip, the ultimate clipper. Idaho based Klhip is the designer of a streamlined revolutionary nail clipper that will be sold online and in boutiques and spas all over the world.

For the new brand, Design Hovie Studios created a clean, bold look with a clipped K letterform to reflect the company's product. The business card further emphasizes this with die cut edge.

The entire project was a 2 month process designed by Creative Director Hovie Hawk and designer Paula Vuncannon.

New Logo for St. Alphonsus Parish


Design Hovie Studios, Inc., has designed the new brand identity for St. Alphonsus Parish. Established in 1901, St. Alphonsus in a Roman Catholic Parish located in Seattle's Ballard district.

Highly symbolic, the new logo includes various elements key to the faith as well as including the parish's key piece of architecture, the majestic bell tower visible from many points around the neighborhood.

The entire project was a 1 month process designed and illustrated by Creative Director Hovie Hawk and designer Maxwell Churchill.
